For the Construction Syndicate of the Blénod-Lès-Toul Intermunicipal Authority, Rabot Dutilleul Construction mobilised all trades to build a school complex using the Smart Module Concept. This complex comprises a nursery school, a primary school and an after-school facility for 250 pupils. The Smart Module Concept technique consists of factory-made wood-frame modules assembled on site. This innovative approach guarantees high construction quality in short lead times and at reduced costs.
The 1,510-sq. m. school complex is heated by means of a heat pump combined with decentralised double flow ventilation. A self-standing unit in each classroom modulates the temperature and ensures that the children and teachers are comfortable, while at the same time keeping energy-consumption under control.
