A “SERVICE SECTOR DRIVER” IN THE HAUTS DE FRANCE REGION
The ShAKe project is currently the largest mixed-use property programme under development in Euralille with a surface area of over 30,000 sq. m. It is reinventing the property offering in France’s third largest business district and contributing to the international reach of the Lille European Metropolitan area, which is becoming a true “service sector driver” in the Hauts De France region, as Laurent Roubin said in his speech. As indicated by its name, a contraction of the words SHARE + WORK, ShAKe is a mixed-use complex resulting from a new way of conceiving workspaces focused on quality of use, economic functionality and the well-being of its occupants. It is the product of collaborative thinking and co-construction work jointly conducted by Nacarat as property developer, the PCA-STREAM Architecture Agency founded by Philippe Chiambaretta and Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France, the investor in the project and future main user of the office space.
A HIGHLY TECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Built by Rabot Dutilleul Construction and les Entreprises Louis De Waele, ShAKe is a highly technical construction project which has benefited from Building Information Modelling (BIM). This development represents 130,000 hours of structural works by up to 250 workers at peak periods. It is expected to be completed and delivered in the second quarter of 2021.
