Rabot Dutilleul was directly involved in the success of the lille2004 European Capital of Culture event, the success of which gave Lille Métropole and the whole of the Nord-Pas de Calais region the opportunity to step into the international spotlight.
The Rabot Dutilleul Group financed the creation of the Tulipes de Shangri-La, designed by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and produced by Betsinor Composites, which adorn the central square in Euralille and have become the symbol of a rejuvenated city.
Rabot Dutilleul has continued the adventure by joining forces with the Lille 3000 biennial cultural festival, whose first event was based on India with "Bombaysers de Lille", by contributing to the funding of the Rambla of the Elephants (Nitin Desai).
The next Lille 3000 took place in 2009 and was dedicated to Central Europe and Istanbul. The festival offered Rabot Dutilleul an opportunity to play a full part in disseminating the cultures of countries in which the Group is currently active.
