A wild roof by Topager on the roof of Rabot Dutilleul Construction’s head office

Following the renovation of its premises, Rabot Dutilleul Construction requested the help of Topager, a Paris-based start-up, to create a wild roof.

A “wild roof” aims to reintroduce biodiversity into urban areas by letting vegetation and animals spontaneously develop and colonise the space. For this purpose, substrates (sand, gravel, millstone, etc.) are deposited on the roof, along with insect hotels, bird houses, etc. Keen to favour “ecological corridors” connecting urban spaces (thanks to which species can move), Rabot Dutilleul Construction can be proud of having the first wild roof in the Lille metropolitan area!
