> Rabot Dutilleul's holding company moves to Euralille - 27 june 2008

Rabot Dutilleul Investissement, the holding company of the Rabot Dutilleul Group, has just announced its arrival in the heart of the business district of Lille.

In its new offices developed by Palm Promotion and built by Rabot Dutilleul Construction, Rabot Dutilleul Investissement is now closer to the decision making centre and communication channels of the Lille metropolitan area.

Rabot Dutilleul, which continues to grow in its three main businesses of property development, construction and maintenance, has fulfilled its wish to give its holding company proper facilities to support its growth, providing it with a dedicated environment and expertise.

Side by side with this change of address, the holding company has been strengthened in 2008 with the establishment of three new departments: the Group Human Resources Department, Risks Department and Development Department, headed by Laurence Deboffe (ex CMH), Carole Catry (ex La Mondiale) and Jean-Pierre Nacry (ex Pro Impec) respectively.

These three arrivals complement the existing management team and give Rabot Dutilleul Investissement a structure that can now provide the Group with a full range of financial advice and control.

> Norlit Entreprises, 30 years of construction on the Northern Coast - 26 june 2008

The construction company, which joined the Group in 2001, celebrates its thirtieth anniversary at Boulogne-sur-Mer.

From civil engineering and shell structures to general contracting projects, from steel frame to timber frame construction, Norlit Entreprises has nimbly adapted to the changes in its market and has gradually become a significant player in the construction sector in France's northern coastal region.

Since it was established by Daniel Osseland in 1978, Norlit Entreprises has always focused its development on the economy of the port city. "At first, industrial and tertiary works were our two main activities", recalls its founder and General Manager.

Today, Norlit Entreprises is still active on the quays of Boulogne-sur-Mer, the most recent example being the laboratories for the French Food Safety Agency (AFSSA) delivered in 2008.

In the last ten years, Norlit has diversified, bringing in new expertise and doubling its labour force (60 full-time staff at present).

In 2001, the Boulogne company joined the construction division of Rabot Dutilleul to benefit from the strength of the Group and boost its development. A successful gamble, as Norlit Entreprises Chairman Jean-Pierre Sternheim remarks: "Norlit's turnover, which was around 3 million euros at the takeover, is expected to reach 12 million in 2008… For Rabot Dutilleul, the arrival of Norlit has given it a local foothold, absolutely essential for large projects on the coast. More broadly, this success is also closely linked to the trust and loyalty of our partners, a guarantee of survival for a Group such as ours.”

> Sedaf and Bati Conseil Immobilier win at the Pyramides d’Argent - 22 may 2008

Both developers distinguished themselves in the competition organised by the French Federation of Property Developers (FPC) in PACA (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur) and Rhône-Alpes regions.

The jury of Pyramides d’Argent, composed of key figures from government authorities, the world of economics and professionals from the sector, awarded prizes for the best projects in housing and commercial property in each of the regional chambers of the FPC.

A development by Bati Conseil Immobilier in the ZAC or Comprehensive Development Area of Bon Lait, in Lyon, Le Rubis is a mixed-use operation composed of 29 flats (from 2 to 5 rooms) and 575 square metres of shops.

A feature of this programme designed by Cabinet Feinte Bertrand is that all living rooms in the flats open on to a garden terrace complemented by micro-perforated screens, combining quality of life for the occupants with overall design.

The forthcoming regional competitions organised by the FPC in Paris Region and Nord Est Region could see new prizewinners within the Group. Palm Promotion, Bati Conseil Immobilier and Sedaf are presenting a number of programmes there in both housing and office buildings.

Philippe Vasseur, the President of Alliances, explains: “Action is more important than words. Many economic players are a step ahead of the indispensable policies formulated in international bodies. Their good practices have shown the way forward...”

> Sedaf launches a new programme at Haute Borne - 5 March 2008

At Villeneuve d’Ascq, the property development company is building the new research centre and head office of the Osyris Group.

Designed by architect Gérard Zeller, this 2,500 sq. m. building will accommodate all of the activities of the Osyris Group, which specialises notably in manufacturing laser equipment dedicated to the medical field.

On Wednesday 27 February 2008, a field maple tree was planted at a ceremony to mark the beginning of the works. This event was attended by numerous elected officials from the Lille metropolitan area, including Martine Aubry, Vice-President of the Lille Urban Community and Mayor of Lille, and Jean-Michel Stievenard, Chairman of the SAEM company that operates the Haute Borne science park.

By the end of 2008, the future occupiers of the new premises will benefit from a “customised” working environment, featuring contemporary architecture with, in particular, a flat green (vegetated) roof.

In the same town of Villeneuve d’Ascq, Sedaf is also building the 15,000 sq. m. head office of Auchan, the multiple retailer, under a property development contract (CPI).

> Palm Promotion is transforming the town centre in Mouvaux (Nord) - 27 February 2008

The Lille Métropole Urban Community has granted Palm Promotion a concession to develop a ZAC in the centre of Mouvaux.

The purpose of this project is to upgrade the centre of Mouvaux, a town of 13,000 inhabitants located between Lille and Tourcoing.

The project comprises the construction of 180 homes, 30% of which will be social housing units. Through this project, the Lille Métropole Urban Community also wants to increase the town’s cultural and sports facilities, with the building of a theatre, a multi-purpose hall, a library, an internet resource centre and a youth club.

Within this ZAC, Palm Promotion will also be developing a 2,000 sq. m. space dedicated to retail outlets and service companies.

> RD bud trusts in Katowice - 27 February 2008

RD bud, the Rabot Dutilleul Group’s general contractor, has just opened a sales branch office in Katowice, southern Poland.

Based in Warsaw, in Poland’s heartland, the RD bud company is continuing to expand across the whole of Poland.

Eric Agnello, the Chief Executive Officer, explains that he chose Katowice because of this region’s good economic prospects: “We’re already very active in southern Poland, where there’s a very high-density market. This new branch office will enable us to be closer to our customers and construction sites.”

After increasing its workforce to over 100 employees in 2007 and a few months after celebrating its 10th anniversary, the opening of a local branch office in 2008 shows RD bud’s determination to become a market leader in the construction sector in Poland.

> The new challenges we face together - 10 January 2008

For the third consecutive year, Rabot Dutilleul organised a forum for students in the Grand Palais in Lille

Find out about the Group…

Five key topics were on the agenda of this year’s edition, each of which was the subject of a round-table discussion :

  • Sustainable development and ecologically friendly construction
  • Birth and execution of a design & build project
  • Property development: the birth of a programme
  • Quality, Safety & Environment Protection at all stages of the production process
  • Energy-positive buildings

… and help Rabot Dutilleul meet the challenges of today.

  • As the round-table discussions were under way, a Human Resources space enabled students to apply for work placements or jobs within the Rabot Dutilleul Group, which recruits over 250 new staff members and 150 interns a year
